Concerts For A Cure

Crescent Entertainment, in conjunction with The Colorado Parkinson Foundation, has launched a series of fund-raising events called “Concerts For A Cure.”  The goal of this project is to produce successful concert performances by nationally known artists to not only increase community awareness of Parkinson’s, but ultimately to raise substantial amounts of money to assist with research leading to a cure.  In addition, portions of the proceeds may be set aside for programs that provide support for Parkinson’s patients and their families.
With the endorsement of The National Parkinson Foundation and The Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation, we have paved the way to a series of “Concerts For A Cure” to take place all across the country.  Focusing on the stable of artists currently on our roster, we will design events to fit the particular needs of local Parkinson’s organizations in their efforts to raise much needed funding and community awareness.
At this point, this is a grass-roots effort, with all of the volunteer assistance coming from within the local Parkinson’s community.  We look forward to seeing “Concerts For A Cure” grow to a major event on a national scale.  To that end, we are actively seeking a national corporate sponsor to join us in achieving this goal, and we welcome all inquiries from interested corporations.
For more information on bringing a “Concert For A Cure” to your community, please contact us.  We are pleased to be associated with this important cause. Crescent Entertainment 303-232-2462.

More about Concerts for A Cure, which are produced by Crescent Entertainment & Events with supporting assistance from The Colorado Parkinson Foundation, Inc.

Mission:
To produce successful fund-raising events oriented around concert performances by nationally known artists with the addition of pre-show VIP cocktail parties, dinners and silent auctions.  The goal of these events would be to not only increase community awareness of Parkinson’s, but ultimately to raise substantial amounts of money to assist with research leading to a cure.  In addition, portions of the proceeds may be set aside for support of Parkinsonians and their families.

Event: Crescent Entertainment & Events will offer its expertise in the entertainment business to assist local Parkinson’s organizations in producing these events.  This assistance may be as minimal as booking the artists for the event.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, Crescent would be available to function as a full production company by taking charge of and/or guiding volunteers and staff through the various steps involved in staging the event.  This would include venue rental, promotion, ticket sales, concert production, catering and arrangements for a VIP event and a silent auction.  Each organization would be provided with a guidebook to reference all the various aspects of producing the event, including timelines.  Crescent would be available on-call to answer any questions or provide assistance at any time.  One or more representatives from Crescent would personally visit the local organization early in the planning stages to coordinate all aspects of the planning of the event and assist with assigning duties to volunteers.  Crescent would also provide staff members to assist with final arrangements the day before the event as well as have staff on site on the day of the event.  Crescent and Colorado Parkinson Foundation, Inc. would work to secure the seed money as needed for deposits and other up-front costs.

Company History: Crescent Entertainment & Events is a dba of Crescent, Inc., a solely owned Colorado corporation in good standing for the past 20 years.  The focus of the company has been to provide high quality entertainment for events of all sorts.  In recent years Crescent has specialized in booking nationally known artists in medium-sized venues, with an emphasis on folk music acts from the 1960’s.  The company’s president, Bob Haworth, has performed for the past 20 years as a member of The Kingston Trio, and for 15 years previous to that with The Brothers Four.  Both of these groups amassed hit records during the 1960’s and continue to perform today.  This affiliation has afforded Mr. Haworth the opportunity to meet and establish relationships with a great many high-profile performers over the years.  Crescent is now in a position to capitalize on these connections and provide a roster of well-known entertainers who are willing to participate in fund-raising events.
